Traffic Control Services

California Barricade has had extensive experience performing a large variety of traffic control services. Depending on the needs and requests of our customers, we provide:

 Double Lane Closures
 Multiple Lane Closures
 Split-Lane Closures

 Freeway Closures

For each type of lane closure listed above, our customer has the option of the lane closure being either a Set & Leave closure or a Monitored closure. All of our lane closures are set-up to meet or exceed the specifications in the MUTCD and the WATCH Manual. Our closures also have the reputation of being very thorough and professional.

In addition to the traffic control services, we offer other services including:

Single Lane Closure

A Single Lane Closure is a closure of one lane of traffic going in either direction. The opposite side of the road remains open for travel. This closure includes all equipment needed to close one lane of traffic and one technician with his/her truck.

Double Lane Closure

In a Double Lane Closure two lanes of traffic are closed at the same time. It includes double the equipment and one or two technicians with their trucks, depending on the complexity of the closure.

Multiple Lane Closure

In a Multiple Lane Closure three or more lanes of traffic are closed at the same time. It must be done on a street where there are at least two lanes of traffic going in each direction. It includes the appropriate amount of equipment and number of technicians with their trucks for the particular closure.

Split-Lane Closure

In a Split-Lane Closure one lane of traffic is closed and the traffic is moved from one side of the street to the other side of the street. A Split-Lane Closure still allows travel in both directions. Depending on the specifics of the closure, the appropriate equipment and number of technicians with their trucks will be provided.

Road Closure

A Road Closure is a complete closure of a road, so no traffic can get through. Depending on the specifics of the closure and how large it is, the appropriate equipment and number of technicians with their trucks will be provided.

Set & Leave Lane Closure

Technicians deliver all equipment needed for the lane closure and set it up per MUTCD and/or WATCH Manual regulations. After setting up the closure our technicians will leave the site, and return to pick up the equipment at a time specified by the customer.

Monitored Lane Closure

Our technicians bring all equipment needed for the lane closure and set it up per MUTCD and/or WATCH Manual. The technicians will stay on site, to adjust the closure as needed and monitor the traffic around the closure. The technician picks up all equipment at the end of the closure.

Detour

In many cases where a complete road is closed a detour is necessary. The detour includes all the equipment necessary to facilitate the required detour and is set per MUTCD and WATCH Manual specifications.

Freeway Closure

A Freeway Closure involves any lane of traffic and/or on-ramps and off-ramps. Closures are set per MUTCD and include proper communication with Caltrans when closing and opening ramps or lanes. All equipment is included as well as a freeway qualified traffic control technician.
